Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which rose 2.59% or 0.57 points to trade at 22.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Unicredit (MI:CRDI) added 1.32% or 0.0280 points to end at 2.1480 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was up 1.31% or 0.036 points to 2.782 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UBI Banca (MI:UBI), which fell 3.40% or 0.0740 points to trade at 2.1000 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) declined 3.20% or 0.066 points to end at 1.996 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was down 2.93% or 0.098 points to 3.244.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 266 to 126 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.43% or 1.59 to $44.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.11% or 1.48 to hit $46.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.15 to trade at $1342.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 1.00% to 0.8660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.37.
