Investing.com – Euro close to 8-month lows vs dollar Friday after ECB chief Mario Draghi ruled out an abrupt end to QE.
The euro was down 0.37% at $1.0888 at 03:45 ET, its lowest level since early March.
Draghi said Thursday the ECB did not discuss tapering of its asset-buying program at its latest policy meeting.
The decline in the euro pushed the dollar index up 0.23% at 98.52, close to eight-month highs.
The euro has a weighting of some 57% in the basket of currencies used to calculate the dollar index.
