Investing.com - The dollar moved above 118 yen for the first time since February after Fed tightening.
The dollar was up 1.37% at 118.63 yen at 06:45 ET. The dollar index rose 1.03% to 103.08.
The euro fell 1.2% to a 2003 low of $1.0410.
The Fed as widely expected on Wednesday raised the Fed funds target rate by 25 basis points.
The FOMC also flagged three more rate hikes in 2017 as Fed chair Janet Yellen delivered hawkish message.
