PARIS, Nov 26 (Reuters) - The Paris Club of creditor nations has published for the first time the list of its debt claims on individual countries, the group said on Wednesday.
The Paris Club said its claims, listed country by country on its website, totalled $330.2 billion, excluding late interest.
Around a tenth of that amount, or about $31 billion, was owed by heavily indebted poor countries, and almost a third, or around $100 billion, was held on Asian, African and South American emerging-market countries that are in the G20, it said.
The Paris Club said in a statement the publication was aimed at increasing public scrutiny of the figures.
"This move is intended to enhance transparency on debt data and to encourage all creditors, in particular major developing countries' creditors, to engage in a comprehensive debt reporting and disclosure process," the Paris Club said.
