Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acciona (MC:ANA), which rose 1.88% or 1.390 points to trade at 75.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 1.60% or 0.840 points to end at 53.300 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 1.51% or 0.106 points to 7.104 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which fell 2.51% or 0.260 points to trade at 10.105 at the close. Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) declined 1.89% or 0.082 points to end at 4.250 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was down 1.57% or 0.320 points to 20.070.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 86 to 82 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.02% or 12.47 to $1210.83 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.50% or 1.14 to hit $44.38 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.52% or 1.21 to trade at $46.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1402, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8853.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 95.80.
