Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.57% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 15.25% or 3.9 points to trade at 29.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 14.09% or 3.09 points to end at 25.02 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 5.92% or 1.70 points to 30.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 4.75% or 0.28 points to trade at 5.62 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 2.55% or 1.70 points to end at 65.00 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was down 0.33% or 1.0 points to 298.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 115 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.24 to $48.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.03% or 0.50 to hit $49.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.80 to trade at $1222.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.06% to 9.3047, while USD/NOK fell 0.19% to 8.3399.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 95.45.
