Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which rose 1.84% or 4.5 points to trade at 248.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 1.73% or 2.0 points to end at 117.3 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.52% or 4.5 points to 300.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 13.39% or 32.0 points to trade at 207.0 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.50% or 0.92 points to end at 25.34 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 1.88% or 2.40 points to 125.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 227 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 13.39% or 32.0 to 207.0. Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.50% or 0.92 to 25.34.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.65% or 1.86 to $38.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.03% or 1.74 to hit $41.27 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.77% or 8.30 to trade at $1075.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 9.2545, while USD/SEK rose 0.70% to 8.5394.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 98.71.
