Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 0.74% or 420 points to trade at 57160 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva (TA:TEVA) added 0.59% or 150 points to end at 25470 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 0.29% or 17 points to 5802 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 3.44% or 8.7 points to trade at 244.0 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 3.30% or 2840 points to end at 83160 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 2.64% or 35 points to 1291.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 254 to 85 and 112 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.30% or 2840 to 83160.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.02% or 0.76 to $38.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.12% or 0.46 to hit $41.19 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.70 to trade at $1074.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.40% to 3.8831, while EUR/ILS rose 0.67% to 4.2214.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 98.54.
