TOKYO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average was flat in quiet trade on Wednesday, with chip-linked shares such as Advantest Corp falling after anaemic U.S. home and producer price data led investors to book profits on recent gains.
But Japan Airlines Corp extended its rebound, jumping nearly 7 percent, after a newspaper report of a capital boost, while shipping lines climbed after a key shipping index rose to a more than two-month high.
The benchmark Nikkei dipped 3.45 points to 10,333.39, after hitting a three-week closing high on Tuesday.
The broader Topix was also unchanged at 913.70. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
