Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Food & Beverages and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) added 4.03% or 0.700 points to end at 18.050 and T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) was up 3.74% or 0.40 points to 11.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which fell 3.27% or 2.50 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Do-Co (IS:DOCO) declined 2.11% or 6.00 points to end at 279.00 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was down 2.04% or 0.010 points to 0.480.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 253 to 145 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.04% or 0.010 to 0.480.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.21% or 13.00 to $1057.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.37% or 1.02 to hit $42.02 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.13% or 0.52 to trade at $44.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 2.9236, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 3.0983.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 100.11.
