Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales fell unexpectedly in February, fuelling concerns over the health of the economy, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales declined by a seasonally adjusted 0.4% in February, disappointing expectations for a gain of 0.5%.
Wholesale sales growth in January was revised to a decline of 2.9% from a previously reported drop of 3.1%.
Sales were down in three of seven subsectors, accounting for 51% of wholesale sales.
USD/CAD was trading at 1.2221 from around 1.2225 ahead of the release of the data.
