Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Food & Beverages and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 3.66% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 1.68% or 0.020 points to end at 1.210 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 1.64% or 0.100 points to 6.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 6.35% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1180 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.79% or 0.013 points to end at 0.330 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 3.30% or 0.060 points to 1.760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.29% or 0.15 to $52.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $58.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.66 to trade at $1283.54 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2375, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8245.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.30.
