Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing, primarily, at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus the amount of any borrowings made for investment purposes) under normal market conditions in a diversified portfolio of equity securities of U.S. companies within the range of securities of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index ("index") at the time of initial purchase. Equity securities include common and preferred stocks and securities with economic characteristics similar to those of common stock, such as rights and warrants.

Tony earned bachelor degrees in economics/business and government/law from Lafayette College.

Biography Richard S. Brody, CFA, Executive Vice President and Head of Equity Management. Mr. Brody has over 34 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining PPM in 1992, Mr. Brody was a senior member of the investment team at the Chicago Group of Morgan Stanley Asset Management. Previously, he spent seven years at Hewitt Associates. Mr. Brody has also worked at the First National Bank of Chicago in their trust investment unit.
