Monday morning, all of the leading coal stocks are coming under strong selling pressure. Peabody Energy Corp (NYSE:BTU) is considered to be the leading stock in the coal sector. Today, BTU stock is trading lower by 0.86 cents to $21.63 a share. Short-term traders should watch for intra-day support around the $21.50, and $20.70 levels.
Some other leading coal stocks that are trading lower include Alpha Natural Resources Inc (NYSE:ANR), Arch Coal Inc (NYSE:ACI), and the Market Vectors Coal ETF (NYSEARCA:KOL). All of these daily charts for the coal stocks continue to look very poor at this time.
