Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 1.51% or 25.0 points to trade at 1680.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 1.27% or 0.2 points to end at 16.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.24% or 120.0 points to 9820.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which fell 2.65% or 150.0 points to trade at 5500.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 2.16% or 360.0 points to end at 16320.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was down 2.13% or 35.0 points to 1610.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 16 to 12.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.68% or 0.85 to $125.72 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.76% or 24.50 to hit $3202.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.56% or 6.10 to trade at $1094.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.10% to 2880.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.28% to 842.23.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 97.33.
