Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Industry, Financials and Infrastructure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO), which rose 34.48% or 60 points to trade at 234 at the close. Meanwhile, Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 240 and Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) was up 25.00% or 110 points to 550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA), which fell 19.12% or 52 points to trade at 220 at the close. Bank Agris Tbk (JK:AGRS) declined 17.42% or 62 points to end at 294 and Charnic Capital Tbk PT (JK:NICK) was down 13.86% or 23 points to 143.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 269 to 153 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 34.48% or 60 to 234. Shares in Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 19.12% or 52 to 220. Shares in Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 25.00% or 110 to 550.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.36% or 1.62 to $46.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.09% or 1.77 to hit $55.47 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1258.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.46% to 14462.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.55% to 10250.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 95.727.
